Summary The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for developing and growing profitable car rental and truck rental revenue in a defined geographic territory. The role maintains and grows mid-market car and commercial truck portfolios while supporting the growth of the ABG small business commercial car portfolio.
Responsibilities
Develop a thorough knowledge of Avis, Budget, and Budget Truck products and services.
Implement effective sales and marketing strategies to maximize all sales opportunities.
Drive profitable revenue growth and market share.
Build and maintain effective referral relationships.
Deliver presentations, including proposals to customers and business reviews to management.
Identify, respond, and solve business issues for customers and provide win‑win solutions.
Coordinate negotiation of rates and contract terms to solidify pending deals.
Close deals while effectively communicating the value of Avis, Budget, and Budget Truck solutions and how they meet customer needs.
Maintain account files, reports, documentation and proposals using Salesforce.com.
Participate in tradeshows, chamber of commerce functions and other local events to strengthen brand relationships.
Qualifications
Ability to generate new and innovative ways to sell products and services.
Strong research, prospecting, lead generation and negotiation skills.
Professionalism and strong communication in client meetings.
Excellent business acumen, planning, organization and priority‑setting skills.
Collaborative style and a team player with peers and senior leaders.
High integrity, credibility, energy and enthusiasm.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred CRM experience.
Minimum of two (2) years successful outside sales/account management (utilizing direct sales techniques).

Salary and Compensation The annual starting salary for this position is between $70,000 – $80,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
