Who We Need

We seek an experienced Critical Facilities Engineer to join our engineering team within a data center/colocation and commercial office environment. The role involves operating and maintaining HVAC and related equipment, and ensuring environmental control of the property. Responsibilities

Respond promptly and courteously to customer needs. Maintain professional relations with contractors and tenants. Collaborate with the data center team. Stay updated on building systems technology and emergency protocols. Record data in compliance with codes and requirements. Conduct tests on fire pumps, generators, and switchgear. Troubleshoot and repair equipment to ensure continuous operation. Address tenant maintenance and engineering issues efficiently. Develop knowledge of HVAC and related equipment. Support tenant relationships alongside property management. Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and HVAC equipment. Adjust HVAC systems to maintain comfort within guidelines. Operate HVAC machinery as directed. Perform repairs on building components, plumbing, electrical systems, and controls. Participate in chemical management and maintain logs. Order and inventory parts and supplies. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements & Skills

High School Diploma required; industry certifications preferred. Critical Facility Engineering experience preferred. Minimum 5 years in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical work. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to read blueprints. Licenses or certifications such as Stationary Engineer or refrigerant certification are preferred. Proficiency with building automation systems, especially Tridium Niagara. Knowledge of energy conservation practices. Ability to follow procedures and work safely. Flexible with shifts, including nights and on-call emergencies. Excellent judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. Self-motivated with a drive to learn and improve. Additional Details
