Technical Inside Sales Representative
to join our team and support continued market expansion.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning how equipment and processes work, communicating with customers, and providing solution-based support. You will work with customers, field representatives, and internal teams to quote solutions, manage orders, and provide support to customers.
What You’ll Do
Receive, process, and confirm purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
Communicate with customers to understand needs and identify product solutions
Follow up on pending quotes and maintain consistent communication throughout the sales process
Maintain log of all calls and visits made to current and potential customers
Draft and prepare proposals, including specification, layout, and costing of equipment
Create and organize customer files and project documentation
Work with internal teams to promptly answer technical and commercial inquiries
Protect confidentiality of business processes, proprietary information, and customer communications
Perform other duties as necessary or directed
Some travel required (5-10%)

Shadow senior sales reps to observe sales call flow, quoting process, and order entry
Develop a base understanding of NAVCO’s ERP system and processes required to perform daily tasks
Days 31-60
Begin independently processing orders and basic quote requests
Prepare simple proposals using standard templates
Proactively follow up on open customer opportunitiesDemonstrate ability to navigate product selection logic
Days 61-90+
Develop a personalized follow‑up rhythm to keep opportunities moving
Track personal metrics – quote turnaround time, follow‑up frequency, data entry accuracy
Collaborate with engineering and sales management to refine proposals for complex or high‑value applications
Begin participating in light application advisory conversations, asking educated technical questions to properly specify solutions
