Overview
Associate Engineer – Onsite requirement: 1 day/week in Alhambra, CA. Travel up to 50% of the time (25% travel onsite at Alhambra, CA data center).
Responsibilities
Responsible for the delivery planning, design, implementation & optimization services as a post sales consultant to WWT's Commercial Enterprise clients.
Create Low-Level and High-Level designs utilizing industry best practices.
Lead the delivery of solutions that could include routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other hardware and software.
Oversee and perform new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
Monitor performance and troubleshoot as needed.
Conduct research on products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the industry.
Perform Netbackup agent installation across Windows and Linux; perform integration of Netbackup with VMware.
Perform storage maintenance, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
Must have experience working in Linux, RHEL, Tanium and Identity Management.
Must have experience in Active Directory, and SCCM, RSA Console.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field required. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in a related field required.
Knowledge or experience with multiple technology disciplines is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong customer service orientation with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
