Position Specific Description This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations. This is a multi-craft position that operates and maintains plant equipment. The plant is located in Pensacola, Florida. Preferred craft Instrumentation and Controls. Job Overview Position performs power plant operations as well as maintenance on station equipment. Job will include other miscellaneous duties as assigned to include water chemistry and environmental compliance activities. This position will be required to work on a 12-hr. rotating shift including night shifts, weekends and holidays and respond to off-hour callouts when needed. Responsibilities
Operate and maintain plant equipment in a multi-craft environment (Instrumentation & Controls). Perform water chemistry and environmental compliance activities as assigned. Work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and holidays; respond to off-hour callouts as required. Execute tasks per qualification standards and craft discipline requirements as described in the Position Specific Description. Required Qualifications
Must obtain outside/inside operation qualifications. A candidate possesses Journeyman level qualification specific to the craft discipline (Industrial Electrician, Journeyman I&C, or Journeyman Mechanic), or hold an Associate degree that directly applies to Power Generation. Must obtain the basic craft of the discipline specified in the Position Specific Description if entering classification with a relevant Associate degree in addition to outside/inside qualification operation qualification. High School Diploma / GED. Pass the POSS & MASS tests. Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years Industrial experience in the craft discipline specified in the Position Specific Description. Additional Information
