Leads the implementation and maintenance of application security standards according to Centene requirements and industry best practices. Plans, budgets, and monitors expenses for application security implementation and operations. Oversees application security tool deployments. Periodically shares reporting on application security status to leadership. Develops deep understanding in technical domain, researches industry best practices, and advocates on behalf of key stakeholders. Collaborates with internal stakeholders (product teams, leadership, etc.) to build the strategy for the implementation of industry best practices for secure development. Leads implementation of application security solutions for testing throughout the SDLC. Collaborates with the cybersecurity architecture team to develop application security reference architecture. Manages the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conducts performance reviews, and provides leadership, technical guidance, and coaching. Shares knowledge and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of business issues and best practices. Develops and communicates organizational objectives; inspires and motivates team members to achieve results. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Education and Experience
Education/Experience Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Soft Skills

Associate Level Certification (ex. AWS, Azure, GIAC, Security+ce, etc.) & Management level IT Security certification (ex. CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CASP, etc) preferred Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range $100,900.00 - $186,800.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
