Landscape Crew Leader - Cleveland/Akron

Description Turfscape, an industry leading commercial lawn maintenance company, is currently looking to hire a couple of crew leaders to add to our growing company. A Landscape Crew Leader is responsible for: The daily task of managing a landscaping crew Assign daily tasks to crews of 2-5 employees according to weather and facility's maintenance schedule. Responsible for training new and existing crew members as necessary. Serves as point of contact for crew members. Assist with loading and unloading of work trucks and delivery trucks. Responsible for driving to and from assigned facilities to perform landscape services or snow removal. Requirements EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 to 3 years landscape industry experience required Minimum of 1+ years of leadership experience preferred SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Possess a valid state driver’s license Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks Knowledge of all phases of landscaping projects Ability to lead, develop, and mentor crew members Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills Attention to detail in all responsibilities and duties WORKING CONDITIONS Outdoor conditions Extended work hours during peak seasons Requires substantial physical activity performing strenuous activities of a productive and technical nature; regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions of extreme heat and extreme cold; consistent exposure to loud noise; potential exposure to air pollution, allergens, dust, pollen, insects, and other potentially harmful naturally occurring hazards; continuous exposure to moving mechanical parts and sharp objects
