Clinical Educator

This position develops, implements, and evaluates proactive educational plans and programs to address staff and departmental needs to ensure ongoing enhancement and improvement of staff skills, competencies and professional growth in accordance with established standards, requirements and regulations. Position Duties
Collaborates with colleagues within the educational department to support the departmental strategic plan and ongoing institutional growth. Collaborates with other disciplines and departments as a change agent and participates in the evaluation of outcomes. Engages in ongoing organizational endeavors which support the philosophy and values of Phoenix Children's, nursing, model of care and professional development of staff. Plans, implements, and evaluates learning opportunities based on evidence using a variety of teaching strategies. Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to enhance own professional growth and development. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing. Required
Yes No Experience
One year experience in a preceptor or leadership role in the specific specialty area. Two years clinical pediatric nursing experience. Adult teaching experience. Required
Yes No Additional Requirements
Current State of Arizona RN license. Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association. National Certification in clinical specialty and/or nursing professional development. (Preferred) Certification / License / Registry Requirements
AZ RN License OR Compact to Arizona License OR Compact State - Required Basic Life Support - Required Nurse Professional Development - Preferred Physical Requirements & Occupational Exposure/Risk Potential
Physical capabilities and sensitivities as listed (various grading: constant, frequent, occasional) Office environment; potential exposure to airborne diseases, bloodborne pathogens, fumes, radiation, etc.
