11:00 am – 10:00 pm, Mon‑Fri, 24–48 hr roster, 8‑hour days with 1‑hour break.

Summary The Supervisor Nursing Unit provides direct patient care, leadership support and administrative coverage for the department Manager. The role maintains effective communication between Manager, staff and patients, coordinates daily workflow by prioritizing and delegating workload impartially, serves as point of contact for staff and physicians when Manager is absent, and ensures continuity of clinical, administrative and human resource activities.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates a competent level of understanding and application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care.
Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures, professional practice standards, state Practice Act/Rules and Regulations.
Communicates and collaborates by meaningful clinical documentation, completes hand-offs and participates in rounds and team meetings to assure continuity of care.
Assesses patients and provides developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care, anticipating and incorporating appropriate diversional or recreational activities.
Analyzes information to identify problems and outcomes, evaluates variations and patterns in patient/family data and recognizes implications to care.
Develops, maintains and applies the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary team.
Responds promptly to changes in patient condition, providing individualized education and documenting all patient and family education activities.
Advances evidence‑based nursing practice using best available evidence, patient and family preferences and values, and team’s clinical expertise.
Evaluates own performance, identifies areas of strength and needs for professional development, and provides input for peer evaluations.
Participates in improvement of patient care and nursing practice, identifying and providing feedback on areas of improvement and evaluating new equipment and technology.
Mentors, coaches and teaches healthcare professionals and students, providing feedback on staff performance and notifying Nursing Directors of staff compliance with policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Education:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college program, technical school or nursing diploma from a nationally accredited nursing school program.
Recommended Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing.
Required Work Experience:
Nursing – 3 years of experience.
Recommended Work Experience:
5‑10 years of experience in a clinical and leadership setting (not required).
Required Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license – Arkansas or Compact State.
Recommended Certifications:
Certification specific to patient population.
