School Nurse

to join our collaborative team at Eyas Landing. Merlin Day Academy educators partner with Eyas Landing therapists to provide exceptional services through a multidisciplinary, intensive therapy and education model. Our programs help children with neuro-diverse learning needs reach their full potential. Together, Merlin Day Academy and Eyas Landing offer children ages 6-14 an intensive, individualized educational environment that focuses on functional and educational skill-building. Our highly collaborative team includes specialists in ABA, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, special education, feeding therapy, and more. Be part of a cutting-edge therapeutic education program designed to meet the unique needs of neurodiverse learners. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team offering services in special education, ABA therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, developmental therapy, nutrition, and feeding therapy. Help families navigate the IEP and nonpublic school placement process with compassion and expertise. Ensure compliance with ISBE documentation and training standards, contributing to the success and growth of our program. Position Details

Schedule: Part-time or full-time Location: Merlin Day Academy, 3319 N Elston Ave., Chicago, IL - On-site parking available. Responsibilities

Provide basic health care and first aid Administer medications Monitor chronic conditions Maintain health records Conduct health assessments for special education evaluation Write and manage Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and IEP health components Lead health policy development and implementation Serve as a liaison between school, families, and healthcare providers Train staff on health protocols and emergency procedures Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations Implement Merlin Day Academy\'s curriculum and theories of practice models supporting Merlin Day\'s therapeutic model Collaborate with the client\'s team and family through weekly emails, calls, and in-person discussions Establish and maintain relationships with families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed Qualifications Required

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse Endorsement preferred Experience working on IEP teams and school leadership experience preferred Benefits And Perks
