Clinical Pharmacist role at AbsoluteCare. The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for a broad range of clinical and operational activities that support high-quality, member-centered care. Location: Lockbourne, OH. Salary range: $93,400.00–$161,000.00. Employment type: Full-time. Responsibilities

Rounding with provider teams to enhance interdisciplinary coordination. Participate in population health initiatives, including HIV and CKD care and adherence support. Initiate new therapies per applicable collaborative practice agreements and clinical appropriateness. Review patient adherence and communicate deficiencies to providers. Provide patient education on new medications or devices, high-risk therapies, and adherence concerns. Support new member onboarding to pharmacy services. Ensure all members filling prescriptions have follow-up appointments scheduled. Complete Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Comprehensive Medication Review (CMR), and targeted improvement program opportunities to optimize outcomes. Serve as primary consultant for drug-related inquiries, including renal dosing, drug interactions, and initiation guidance. Advise providers on medication selection, dosage adjustments, and side effect management. Communicate discrepancies between EMR and pharmacy systems and maintain accurate patient records, including allergies and medication reconciliation. Ensure accuracy and safety of dispensed medications and claim submissions; monitor and log pharmacy errors for quality assurance. Supervise pharmacy technicians in the absence of the Pharmacist in Charge and coordinate prescription deliveries and mailings. Oversee inventory control and participate in the annual inventory process. Track filing, procurement, and scheduling of long-acting injectable medications; coordinate pill tray and blister pack refills with cycle-based reconciliation. Demonstrate proficiency with pharmacy management systems, EMR, and practice management platforms; update medication lists and notify care teams of new prescriptions; understand insurance claims payments and resolution. Act as primary preceptor for pharmacy students, including onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and assessment. Provide training to clinical staff on medication updates, injection techniques, medication handling, and immunization schedules; develop reference materials such as drug monographs and therapeutic updates. Demonstrate proficiency across multiple disease states (e.g., HIV, CKD, Hepatitis C, CHF, Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Heart Disease). Provide excellent customer service to all pharmacy customers and respond to calls and messages promptly. Minimum Qualifications

PharmD or registered Pharmacist. 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role. Personal and professional passion to improve healthcare delivery. Demonstrated respect for and experience with culturally diverse communities. Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse population. Team and customer service oriented. Working conditions

This job operates in a professional pharmacy environment. The role routinely uses general office equipment and may involve wearing a uniform (lab coat or surgical scrubs) and safety attire (gloves, masks). Exposed to diseases and infections of patients daily. May share workspace with other technicians and staff. Physical Requirements
