Overview

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an academic Hematopathologist to join the Department of Pathology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview

The successful applicant will participate in bone marrow/lymph node, fluid/coagulation and flow cytometry diagnostic services, take part in resident and medical student education, conduct productive basic, clinical and/or translational research, and collaborate with a world-class Hematology/Oncology division. The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center have an expanding NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center, including an active bone marrow transplantation program and many outreach and affiliated hospitals, resulting in a high volume of cases with a wide variety of specimens. Responsibilities

Provide diagnostic services in bone marrow/lymph node, fluid/coagulation and flow cytometry. Participate in resident and medical student education. Conduct productive basic, clinical and/or translational research. Collaborate with the Hematology/Oncology division. Contribute to a high-volume, varied case mix across affiliated centers. Requirements

MD or DO or equivalent Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Pathology Subspecialty in Hematopathology Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio Faculty Defined and Tenure

Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) are appointed for terms of three to five years and are focused on clinical care, teaching, and/or research. Tenure-track faculty (regardless of rank) may be eligible for tenure and have primary focus on research, service, and teaching, with possible clinical duties for those with MD/DO or MD/PhD degrees. Research faculty focus on research with appointments for one to five years and are not tenure-eligible.
