Territory Manager / Clinical Specialist (Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies)

How you will make an impact:
Under the direction of the Business Unit Director, this role will have responsibility for both commercial objectives as well as providing hands-on clinical and educational support within Edwards Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) business unit. This position will be field based from Denmark, with regular travel to hospital sites. Travel will be required across the wider Nordics / Baltics region, with a main focus on Denmark and southern Sweden. You will build relationships with key customers, as well as providing educational and clinical support in cardiac cath lab as an expert for Edwards TMTT products.
Commercial responsibilities will include:
Plan and implement actions to achieve sales and profit targets as defined in the Business annual sales plan.
Monitor sales activity, plan and prepare forecasts by account, product and therapy for the given territory as well as propose expenses for meetings and/or customer activities
Promoting educational events, clinical sessions, trials and marketing studies to customers
Drive penetration of Edwards products in the given territory, strengthen relationships and create new businesses. Introduce new therapies in the region, launch new products. Work closely with Marketing, Market Access, Professional Education.
Collect, analyze and provide with external (market) and internal (products performance, success rate..) data.
Ensure to report all products and procedures complaints to the local Quality & Regulatory departments within 24 hours – compliance management
Clinical Support Responsibilities Will Include
With a thorough working knowledge of cardiology, and Edwards Mitral and tricuspid products/therapies you will support customers with procedures, as a clinical expert for Edwards TMTT
You will provide clinical training and guidance to the TMTT customers, ensuring effective support and proctoring of the devices within cath lab.
Be responsible for implants performance on the given territory
Providing guidance in the patient selection process and suitability for a Transcatheter Heart Valve Implants
Maintain high quality by following the Procedural Success Rate (PSR) objectives
Provide appropriate support tools for use in the field (such as case study reports, slides, review of clinical data)
Participate in TMTT Clinical / Marketing team meetings and company organized training session
Closely work with country sales organizations and clinical teams
Required Education/Skills/Experience:
Experience working in an operating room and/or cath lab environment is expected; and awareness of how to behave in a sterile environment
Significant knowledge of interventional cardiology, preferably with experience of TAVI and/or Mitral/Tricuspid heart valve implant procedures.
High interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills in a customer facing capacity.
Ideally educated to degree level or have a good general understanding and knowledge of natural sciences, biology and medicine
Imaging skills / experience would be an advantage
Passion for making a difference for patients, strong self-motivation and ability to work autonomously.
Excellent planning and organization skills
Flexible and able to travel extensively
Fluency in English and Danish to business level is essential
Previous experience in conducting training programs for physicians and support staff is a strong advantage
Prior experience in sales in the medical field would be an advantage, but is not essential
Enjoy travel and being in a field-based role. Driving license essential.
