We offer in-person residential, outpatient, and virtual programs nationwide including adolescent PHP/IOP to meet clients wherever they are in their recovery journey. What You’ll Do As the Group Therapist at Alsana, you will provide group therapy for assigned groups and may also provide individual therapy and family therapy on an adjunct basis or to provide coverage for a clinician who is on PTO. If you work in a full-time capacity, you may also work in a direct care capacity, which includes providing emotional, behavioral, and nutritional support to clients.

Responsibilities

Prepares, facilitates, and delivers group therapy sessions.

Maintains client records in accordance with established standards.

Participates in treatment team meetings, reporting observation of clients in groups and direct care interactions.

Assists in the orientation and training of new staff as requested.

Assist with administrative duties and milieu management as needed to help the program operate smoothly.

May offer individual and family therapy and case management as needed in accordance with established standards.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, clinical counseling, or other relevant health related discipline

Two years recent related experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Associate or Provisional license or appropriate intern registration with relevant professional association

Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients, families, staff, and community agency personnel.

Ability to develop, coordinate, and deliver in-services, presentations, psycho-educational, and support groups.
