The Opportunity
CACI is looking for a Cisco Call Manager Engineer Lead to support our DoD customer to implement an enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customer environment. On this program, CACI will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DoD customer to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations.
As a Cisco Call Manager Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of the organization’s Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environment. This role requires a deep understanding of Cisco VoIP technologies, unified communications, and collaboration solutions. The Engineer Lead will oversee a team of engineers, ensure high availability and performance of the communication systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your primary focus will be on evaluating, deploying, configuring, and optimizing various call manager solutions. You will work closely with the engineering team, IT staff, and other external stakeholders to ensure the effective operation of the call managers at various locations and their integration into the organization’s infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) solutions in compliance with DoD security standards
Lead a team of Cisco Call Manager Administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth
Manage team workload, ensuring projects and tasks are completed on time and within scope
Configure and maintain Cisco Call Manager clusters in high-availability environments
Integrate voice, video, and data communications across enterprise networks while maintaining DoD security protocols
Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities in accordance with DISA STIGs
Troubleshoot complex telephony and unified communications issues
Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures per DoD requirements
Collaborate with network engineering teams on QoS and bandwidth management
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
Support after-hours maintenance windows and emergency response activities
Administer and maintain the CUCM environment, including user provisioning, configuration management, and system monitoring
Perform regular system health checks, backups, and maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and performance
Lead projects related to the deployment, upgrade, and enhancement of Cisco Unified Communications solutions
Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requirements
Ensure compliance with DoD 8570.01-M and DoD 8140.03 certification requirements
Qualifications Required:
12+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)
Familiarity with network and system security principles, protocols, and configurations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Required DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Security+; CCNA Collaboration or higher-level Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP Collaboration, CCIE Collaboration) are preferred
Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
