Overview
Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering responsible for delivering cutting-edge solutions and leading a highly motivated and efficient team. This role partners with development managers, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers to deliver business change and innovation into Java-based business applications software. This Senior Manager will be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must deliver an efficient solution while identifying and mitigating risks before deployment to production. Responsibilities
Grow engineering teams by interviewing, recruiting and hiring, as well as continuously guiding, coaching and mentoring engineers Provide leadership for digital initiatives/digital transformation for ecommerce leveraging Java/J2EE stack, Microservices, Open source frameworks, Cloud and Data Analytics Collaborate with various areas of the organization including business partners, product owners, architecture, security professionals, digital and IT engineering teams Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements to existing systems and platforms Promote proper implementation of SAFe process techniques Provide support in all phases of SDLC and ensure to deliver high-quality products Provide recommendations for continuous improvement; provide technical leadership direction, determining and developing approaches to solutions by coordinating multiple resources to solve complex problems Make informed decisions quickly and take ownership of services and applications at scale Understand the big picture while implementing at the detail level Analytical thinking to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts and evaluate them systematically Strategic thinking to identify a vision and the plans needed to meet goals, evaluating situations, decisions and issues in short, medium and long term Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities Assist in technical and security audits and ensure audit recommendations are implemented Advocate for security best practices and support security compliance in partnership with Digital and Enterprise security teams and digital product owners Encourage a collaborative, open and dynamic team culture where individuals and teams can realize their full potential Required Qualifications
At least 7 years of IT/Digital development experience on enterprise-class applications 3+ years in a management role, leading software development teams 2+ years leading teams of 8+ engineers Experience in leading medium to large-sized teams of diverse development engineers across multiple locations Experience partnering with architecture, product and program management teams to influence product development Preferred Qualifications
Experience with programming languages/frameworks: Java, SpringBoot Excellent knowledge with SQL platforms Experience with Google Cloud Platform Experience with Analytics Hands-on experience with cloud technologies/platforms and/or CRMs Understanding of IT security best practices and compliance standards such as ADA, HIPAA, PCI DSS Experience in SAFe Agile environments; SAFe for Leaders certification is a plus Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; thrives in iterative, agile, and open team environments Strong business and technical vision with the ability to translate into actionable plans and lead efforts to meet timelines Knowledge/experience in the Healthcare space, B2C and/or B2B is a plus Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) Business Overview

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $118,450.00 - $284,280.00 This pay range represents the base salary for positions in this job grade.
