Expertise in power distribution design and maintenance
Advanced knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and industrial codes
Proficient in electrical design software (CAD, ETAP, MATLAB, Simulink, SolidWorks) and MS Office
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
Plusses:
PE license
CMRP, CRL, or RMIC certification
Chemical manufacturing experience
Predictive maintenance certifications (ultrasound, vibration, infrared, MCA)
Experience with protective relaying and arc flash analysis
Day to Day:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in power distribution systems for their Memphis manufacturing facility. This full‑time role is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimization of electrical transmission and distribution infrastructure supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations. The engineer will drive system reliability improvements, lead maintenance optimization initiatives, and provide technical expertise for complex industrial power systems. This requires to be on site 5x a week from 7am to 4:30pm.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical transmission and distribution systems for maximum reliability and efficiency
Conducting power quality analysis, load flow studies, and protective device coordination
Leading reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) programs and implementing predictive maintenance technologies
Troubleshooting complex electrical distribution issues and providing technical solutions
Planning and executing electrical projects during outages and maintenance windows
Supervising electrical contractors and maintenance crews
Ensuring compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards, as well as supporting food safety and quality requirements (HACCP, GMP)
Maintaining comprehensive electrical documentation and drawings
