Overview
Construction Services Project Manager
role at HDR. HDR is seeking a Construction Services Project Manager with a technical background in water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and pipeline construction to join our Water Business Group in North Carolina (Raleigh, Charlotte, Asheville, Wilmington, or Winston-Salem). They will perform constructability reviews of project designs and lead projects during the construction administration phase. Project types could include water and wastewater treatment plants, water transmission pipelines, water pump stations, wastewater collection systems, wastewater pump stations, and related infrastructure projects. They must be skilled in construction administration phase services coordination and management as a consulting engineer, coordinating with contractors, sub-consultants, and utility owners, coordinating technical specifications and design drawings with the design and construction team, and performing office and field services during construction. They will also direct construction administration staff and perform client management activities to support HDR\'s North Carolina Area-based Water/Wastewater team.
This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
Perform constructability reviews of project designs and lead construction administration on assigned projects.
Coordinate with contractors, sub-consultants, and utility owners; align technical specifications and drawings with the design and construction teams.
Provide office and field services during construction and manage construction administration activities.
Direct construction administration staff and perform client management activities to support HDR\'s Water/Wastewater team in North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science, or closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of HDR\'s employee-owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications
PE or ability to obtain in North Carolina within 6 months is preferred but not required.
Experience in the construction and/or design area with water/wastewater projects, focusing on treatment plants, pump stations, and pipelines.
Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment.
Local candidates are preferred.
Location Primary location: Raleigh, NC. Other locations include Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Wilmington, and Asheville, NC.
