Texas Oncology is looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our team at the Bedford, Texas location. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country with 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Ensures accuracy in positioning the beam to the designated tumor volume and delivers the prescribed dose. Accurately delivers and records treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist. Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record. Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students. Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedules and submitting correct billing information. Accurately cuts blocks, makes custom molds, performs simple mu calculations, and interprets computerized treatment plans. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program. ARRT certification required. Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy. Physical Demands
As described: regularly sit and use hands; occasionally stand, walk, reach; occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds; vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges. Work Environment
