Case Manager – Bilingual in Cantonese
The Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) is one of 21 Regional Centers that are community-based, private non-profit corporations under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. RCEB provides intake, assessment, diagnosis, and coordinates community-based services for over 25,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

Salary and levels
Case Manager I – Bilingual: $2,690.17 – $3,917.29 Bi-weekly; $69,944.42 – $101,849.54 Annual
Case Manager II – Bilingual: $2,792.94 – $4,069.16 Bi-weekly; $72,616.44 – $105,798.16 Annual
New hires with no prior Regional Center work experience will start at the very beginning of the salary scale.
Key Responsibilities
Case Managers are responsible for the entire case management process, including assessment and evaluation, planning, authorizing, advocacy, monitoring, and reviewing documentation for completion.
Facilitate the planning process and develop the Individual Program Plan (IPP) or Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) for assigned Consumers and oversee the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the plan.
Coordinate and support the implementation of the Consumer’s plan, identify natural supports and generic services, and evaluate when needs require RCEB-funded services.
Advocate on behalf of consumers to protect rights under the law and ensure access to services and benefits.
Assist consumers and families in obtaining essential diagnosis and evaluation from appropriate practitioners and secure written reports and other information to assess the consumer’s situation.
Monitor the consumer’s health and safety.
Maintain all documentation and contacts as required by law, regulation, and policy.
Implement RCEB policies and procedures.
Complete functional and/or developmental reviews in a timely manner.
Keep supervisor informed of caseload status and unmet needs in the community.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Case Manager I
BA Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related human services field and 1 year similar experience, OR BA in an unrelated field plus 4 years of direct work with the developmentally disabled.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Automobile and valid driver’s license required.
Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity and ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
Ability to speak Cantonese.
Case Manager II
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related human services field.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Automobile and valid driver’s license required.
Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity and ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
Ability to speak Cantonese.
