Training will be provided for qualified candidates and assistance in obtaining the Wound Care Certificate. SIGN ON BONUS $7,500 FULL-TIME HIRES Competitive Starting Salary $45.00-$49.00/HR Salary Disclosure Statement The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives are offered separately. Offers will consider overall experience, qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc. Responsibilities Oversee all direct wound care activities to ensure practices are consistent Identify, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care in residents Manage and treat specific skin disorders Coordinate weekly skin rounds Perform assessment evaluations using observation and inspection techniques Confer with the Care Planning Team in developing the care plan Provide treatment for skin disorders within established wound care protocol Monitor preventive measures such as inspection, turning, and positioning Precept new nurses and demonstrate procedures to new staff Order and track supplies/equipment used in prevention and treatment Assist in modifying treatment regimens to meet residents' needs Educate residents and caregivers on prevention techniques and health maintenance Participate in Performance Improvement programs and committees Conduct in-service training on dermatologic nursing skills Abide by FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and Compliance Plan Qualifications Active RN license in Maryland At least 1 year of nursing experience Active certification in wound care Experience in skin care in a skilled nursing facility preferred Proven leadership and communication skills Ability to interact courteously and helpfully with others Equal Opportunity Employer.
