Under supervision, provides specialized support services for physicians and advanced practice providers. Responsibilities include scheduling patients, answering calls, entering demographic and insurance data, obtaining authorizations, scheduling surgeries, patient check-in/out, collecting copays, patient follow-up, and coordinating care at satellite clinics. Performs clerical duties related to patient care. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Two years of office/clerical experience in healthcare or related field Organizational, leadership, customer service, and communication skills Knowledge of medical terminology, PC applications, and database management Math and bookkeeping skills Exceptional telephone skills English grammar proficiency Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred CPR certification required within 30 days of employment Additional Information
