Workload Automation Scheduler - Boston, MA
Base pay range: $65.00/hr - $70.00/hr
Location: Boston, MA • Duration: 6-12+ Months
Responsibilities
Design, create, and manage automated jobs and schedules using workload automation tools (e.g., Control-M, AutoSys, IBM Workload Scheduler).
Ensure efficient, reliable, and timely execution of business processes, batch jobs, and IT operations.
Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and system administrators to implement and optimize automation strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolve job failures, scheduling conflicts, and provide support to stakeholders and end-users.
Document job definitions, scheduling logic, dependencies, and recovery procedures.
Implement changes and updates to job schedules in accordance with change management processes.
Continuously optimize and tune job schedules to enhance performance, efficiency, and system stability.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for critical automated workloads.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and audit requirements for automated jobs.
Qualifications
Experience with workload automation tools such as Control-M, AutoSys, IBM Workload Scheduler.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills for job scheduling and batch processing.
Ability to document scheduling logic, dependencies, and recovery procedures clearly.
Familiarity with change management processes and incident/notification protocols.
Understanding of disaster recovery planning and testing concepts.
Awareness of security standards and audit requirements related to automated jobs.
