Job Description: The Assistant Director of Engineering supports the Director of Engineering in managing daily maintenance operations of the physical facility, including exterior and interior areas. Responsible for supervising the Engineering and Grounds departments, implementing policies, and performing administrative duties such as employee scheduling, payroll, disciplinary actions, hiring, staff safety, and training. Maintains communication with the Director of Engineering, Resort/General Manager, staff, and guests. Ensures guest and service areas are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulations. Provides excellent customer service and maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must have strong communication skills and the ability to motivate a team. Minimum Requirements: At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in engineering within a full-service hotel or multiple properties. Engineering degree (BS), Certified Engineering Operations Executive certification, or equivalent education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge of trades, engineering SOPs, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, vinyl, and Life Safety Systems. Understanding of ADA, OSHA, EPA regulations, CFC, toxic waste, recycling, and safety standards. Flexibility to work varied hours. Compensation & Benefits: $73,000 - $80,000 annually, based on skills, experience, and education.
