Overview We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist with refinery experience to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization. The role works under the Decarbonization and Sustainability Division to address environmental protection and performance, including deployment of decarbonization, energy and environmental programs and initiatives. The primary responsibility is to provide guidance and support in establishing environmental business plans and emission baselines, developing solutions to environmental problems, performing environmental performance calculations, daily monitoring and reporting, data collection and analysis to identify GHG reduction opportunities, and advising on performance improvements. Key Responsibilities Monitor facility operating and business plans to ensure alignment with Saudi Aramco environmental protection policy, applicable environmental policies, GIs and standards. Identify deviations and develop solutions to environmental problems to mitigate environmental risk and improve regulatory compliance. Conduct full potential GHG and environmental assessments and provide recommendations. Develop, review and implement Green House Gas management. Conduct internal GHG assessments for facilities such as refineries, NGL fractionation plants, petrochemical plants and lubricant manufacturing plants. Monitor solids and chemical disposal to ensure safe environmental protection in compliance with governmental regulations. Monitor air quality, wastewater and water conservation, waste management performance. Develop, review and deploy facilities environmental management system in alignment with ISO 14001. Develop and maintain environmental procedures and guidelines. Conduct internal environmental performance benchmarking studies among oil and gas and refineries. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering. At least 17 years of experience in oil and gas refineries, petrochemicals; EPI/QEP certified professionals are preferred. Knowledge of the oil & gas refining industry and its environmental challenges and risks. Knowledge of global/governmental environmental policies, regulations and standards. Expertise in technical sustainability data, calculation methodology and limitations. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in environmental engineering. Familiarity with ISO-14001 Environmental Management System and its requirements. Familiarity with development of decarbonization roadmaps, GHG emission baselines and target setting.
