Based on-site in Los Angeles and reporting to the EVP, Development West, the role helps manage key donor relationships, assists with regional and major events, and contributes to the execution of strategic development initiatives within the greater Los Angeles area. Position Summary
The Associate Director of Development plays a vital role in supporting and expanding the Center’s fundraising efforts in Greater Los Angeles with a primary focus on managing a portfolio of donors and prospects, donor cultivation, stewardship, and campaign support. Based on-site in Los Angeles and reporting to the EVP, Development West, the Associate Director will help manage key donor relationships, assist with regional and major events, and contribute to the execution of strategic development initiatives within the greater Los Angeles area. Key Responsibilities
Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors and prospects capable of contributing $5,000+ annually Partner with the EVP, Development West to identify new funding opportunities and increase donor retention and lifetime value Organize and execute donor-focused events, parlor meetings, and cultivation activities in the greater Los Angeles area Leverage volunteers and community leaders to expand the Center’s donor network Conduct prospect research as needed Maintain donor records and track activity in the CRM database (e.g., NetSuite or similar platform) Collaborate with development, communications, and program staff to align messaging and outreach Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or a related field Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience planning and executing fundraising events Experience working with fundraising databases; NetSuite preferred A team player with a collaborative spirit and commitment to donor service Knowledge of or interest in Jewish communal life, Holocaust education, and human rights advocacy preferred Bachelor’s degree required Our Benefits
