Overview

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for a Project Controls Analyst for a contract assignment with a premier Utility services client in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities

Provide project control support to Electric Delivery's Project Management group for major projects, utilizing strong costing, planning, and scheduling skills, and effective communication between internal firm and outside departments. May focus exclusively on cost control or on schedule control; may include both cost and schedule control depending on project requirements. Manage, revise, and maintain the status of detailed project cost estimates/forecasts across all phases of project execution (engineering, plant projects, equipment procurement and deliveries, construction contracts through startup). Track and analyze project costs including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts; perform forecast-to-budget, estimate-to-actuals analyses and risk assessments. Assist in creating detailed project budgets and cash flow projections; review estimates to ensure accuracy of scope and estimates. Produce forecasts of total project costs, annual costs, and monthly cash flow, with variance analysis and explanations. Interact with procurement and accounting groups to ensure cost codes, purchase order commitments, change orders, and regulatory compliance guidelines are implemented. Assist with project-related public outreach; may attend public meetings after hours as required. Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 2-3 years as Project Controls Analyst I, or a minimum of 10 years of progressive related experience, with at least 2 years in engineering and construction project controls. College education may be considered in lieu of direct/related experience. Demonstrated independence and expertise in performing Project Controls Analyst I or similar role; proficiency in budget, cash flow, and/or schedule development. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited college/university. About SGA & Equal Opportunity
