Position Summary The
Exercise Physiologist - PRN
works within a nationally certified cardiac and pulmonary rehab program for all phases of rehab (in-patient and out-patient). Responsibilities include:
Planning, coordinating, and implementing exercise and related programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab.
Providing assessments and treatments for patients.
Performing various non-invasive cardiac and pulmonary tests.
Organizing and conducting medically prescribed cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services to restore function, prevent disability, and improve healing.
Helping patients reach their maximum functioning level and adapt to their disease.
Following guidelines from AACVPR and ACSM.
Innovating work procedures for efficiency and cost savings.
Maintaining professional contacts internally and externally.
Education Requirements
Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
Must pass hospital Arrhythmia test within three months of hire.
Licensure/Certification
Current ACLS certification (to be obtained within 3 months if not already held).
Current CPR certification.
Preferred: ACSM Exercise Specialist certification and/or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist exam.
Experience
At least 2 years in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Knowledge of Scottcare telemetry system preferred.
Salary range: $30.00/hour. Compensation based on experience and role scope.
