Overview
Pain Management Nurse Practitioner – Pinole, CA. Compensation: $170K - $190K per year DOE.
Join Nexus HR's established pain management practice. This role focuses on comprehensive, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
Work under the direction of a fellowship-trained pain physician.
Consider and work toward a long term plan for each patient while attending to immediate visit-specific needs.
Interview and examine patients; review outside studies and medical histories.
Treat a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders
Perform trigger point, joint, nerve, and soft tissue injections
Read X rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging
Document patient care services on the day of service
Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and networking
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in pain management
Experience with workers' compensation cases required
Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
Current and unrestricted NP/PA license in California
National certification AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
Current BLS/CPR certification
Active DEA license without restrictions
Enrolled as a Medicare FFS provider
Experience with interventional pain management procedures preferred
Competency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic pain
Strong knowledge of evidence-based pain management guidelines and regulations
Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills
Able to work in the Bay Area
