Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
for our
Waterbury and Morrisville Offices . Our providers assist surgeons both in clinics and as first assistants in surgery, managing patient panels, performing exams, diagnosing, prescribing, and creating treatment plans. Call rotation is 1:6, with 4/10 hour workdays. This is a full-time position, with part-time options available. Positions are available across
Full-Time, Part-Time, and Temporary
schedules; please inquire about your availability. Responsibilities
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures (e.g., ECG, MRI, X-ray, bone scans). Perform procedures like nerve blocks, wound management, joint aspirations, reductions, injections, and application of braces or splints. Assist in surgeries, including tissue closures and hardware removal. Conduct follow-ups, hospital rounds, and write orders. Evaluate clinical signs, develop treatment plans, and document patient histories and discharges. Prescribe medications within the orthopaedic scope, including controlled substances under schedules 2-5. Provide patient education, promote health maintenance, participate in research, manage databases, and ensure quality assurance. Qualifications
Master's Degree. 3-5 years of direct patient care experience; 1-2 years in an expanded nursing role preferred. Registered Nurse license with endorsement as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with prescriptive authority from the Vermont Board of Nursing. DEA license required for prescribing controlled substances. Additional Details
