You will prepare and distribute surgical case carts according to physician’s preference lists and anticipated needs of the perioperative team. Monitor, interpret, and document results of physical, chemical and biological indicators for all types of sterilizers used in the sterile processing areas. You will assist the OR staff in obtaining the appropriate instruments and equipment for surgical cases as requested. You will be alert to changes in schedule that require instrument set availability and prioritizes processing instrument sets accordingly. Assist the clinical staff as needed to locate required instrumentation or to complete instrument sets Assist in properly positioning the patient for the procedure in accordance with written protocol Set up equipment, ensuring proper operation of the equipment with first troubleshooting to prevent delays due to malfunctioning You will work closely with the OR staff to ensure rapid turnover of OR rooms Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology Program (required) 1+ year of healthcare experience is preferred BLS or BCLS from either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire is required About LewisGale Medical Center
