Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential speech and language therapy services in-home to children ages 0-3 years old, focusing on early intervention to enhance communication and developmental outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of child development, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young children and their families. Support from a speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) will be provided for full-time candidates.
Part-time and full-time opportunities are available.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing skills (e.g., PLS-5, Rossetti).
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each child and family.
Implement evidence-based therapy techniques and interventions to improve communication, articulation, language comprehension, and social interaction skills.
Collaborate closely with parents/caregivers and SLPA to promote coordinated care and maximize therapeutic outcomes.
Provide family-centered therapy sessions, offering guidance and support to families on implementing strategies and facilitating communication development in natural environments.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
Stay current with advancements in the field and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain it.
California state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
Experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children in early intervention settings (minimum 2 years preferred).
CA driver’s license and insurance, reliable transportation.
