who are aligned with Harm Reduction principles and have experience prescribing buprenorphine-based medications for opioid use disorder in an outpatient setting. Reside in one of the following states:
AL, AK, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KS, ID, IN, MD, MI, NM, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, WA, and WY Active
NP license
in your state of residency +
PMHNP certification Have at least

buprenorphine-based medications
in an independent, outpatient setting as a core part of your daily practice Are interested in

About the Role
This position is
100% remote . The Nurse Practitioner works directly with patients to deliver
medication-assisted recovery
for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and coordinates with the Care Team (primarily Care Advocates and Peer Recovery Specialists). Clinicians deliver compassionate telephonic, text-based, and video-based telehealth engagement and monitoring. Boulder Care values lived experience. Applicants with lived experience and/or training as a peer recovery specialist are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities and Expectations
Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage ongoing care for individuals with complex SUDs and related comorbidities Embrace harm reduction practices in all patient care Help elicit patients’ recovery goals and support them through therapeutic alliance and shared decision-making Educate patients on Boulder’s model of care, SUDs, related comorbidities, recovery strategies, and safer use where appropriate Coordinate with Medical Directors/Clinical Leadership to develop and oversee treatment plans, adjusting as needed Provide patient care coverage during scheduled shifts, including some nonstandard hours (evenings/weekends) based on team needs Use technology to facilitate a safe and rewarding patient experience Interpret and share lab/clinical results with patients without judgment Enable care coordination, connecting patients to clinical and social resources inside and outside of Boulder Administrative (20%)
Participate in Department and Company-wide meetings (ECHO, All Hands, Pod meetings, Care Team, etc.) Deliver proactive, clear feedback and collaborate with Boulder’s Technology and Operations teams to improve digital treatment platforms Complete thorough chart notes within 24 hours of patient visit Monitor relevant channels for updates, team communication, and patient care collaboration Follow Boulder’s policies and procedures Qualifications
Minimum
1+ year of addiction treatment experience 3 or more years of clinical experience as an NP or RN preferred Active Nurse Practitioner license in your state of residency and
PMHNP certification Graduate degree from an accredited nursing program Demonstrated experience managing SUDs in a chronic care model with
medication assisted recovery
and social needs management Specific experience transitioning individuals from illicit opioids to
buprenorphine Proficiency with EMRs and video conferencing platforms Ability to gain license and contract approvals across states Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication and collaboration Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows Excellent time management and organizational skills Dedicated, private workspace
with a lockable door and high-speed internet to ensure HIPAA compliance Cannot have previously been a patient at Boulder Care Part-time Details
4–25 hours per week Minimum shift length: 4 hours Typical shifts are 5pm to 9pm Eastern, Monday–Friday Compensation
Part-time:
$68 - $80 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Hiring Process
