Responsibilities
Perform resident assessments, visit residents on a routine basis, and complete all clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with nursing administration and health care team members to assure follow‑through of resident care and care plans.
Coordinate and monitor duties performed by geriatric nursing assistants; provide coaching and verbal/written disciplinary action as necessary.
Monitor medication administration performed by certified medicine aide; provide assistance as necessary.
Contact physicians, specialists, and other care providers as needed to ensure appropriate communication and follow‑through of resident care.
Administer treatments and medications as prescribed and in accordance with physician’s orders.
Coordinate ordering of lab tests, exams, and medical services as necessary, and communicate these services, appointments, and results appropriately.
Communicate with medical staff director on rounds as needed.
Maintain clinical records in an accurate and timely manner.
Attend in‑service trainings and nursing meetings as required.
Requirements
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a college or technical school, or a diploma in nursing; minimum six months to one year related experience and/or additional training.
Current Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR certification.
Salary : $30–$37 per hour
