This is a 7 on 7 off role. Schedule would be 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM for 3 days and 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM for 4 days. Sign on bonus up to $10,000 may be available for eligible qualified external candidates. Relocation assistance may be available on a case by case basis.
Job Summary And Qualifications In this role you will:
Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy computer system.
Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose.
Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing nonformulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and promotes rational drug therapy selection.
Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.
Assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership.
Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.
Complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and provide support to the whole pharmacy team.
What qualifications you will need:
B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy required
Minimum of one year of hospital experience is preferred
Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Florida State Board of Pharmacy
HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a 404-bed tertiary care hospital. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and are a Level II Trauma Center. We are a teaching hospital in collaboration with UCF College of Medicine. Our hospital is conveniently and centrally located in the Heart of Kissimmee. We are only minutes from Orlando, St. Cloud, Celebration, and Poinciana. We are committed to enhancing the standard of healthcare by providing services including Emergency Care, Trauma Care, Pediatric ER, Heart & Vascular Institute, and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Other services include The Baby Suites Maternity Care, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Level II, Women’s Services, Behavioral Health, Orthopedics & Spine, and a Graduate Medical Education Program. We expand our care to the community with our freestanding Emergency Department at Hunter’s Creek ER.
