Job Summary: MedStar Health is looking for a FT Patient Service Coordinator to join our team for the Primary Care department in Leonardtown Md. As a Patient Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing the best customer service to patients by greeting them with a warm and friendly smile, handling check in/out processes, gathering demographic information, insurance verifications, as well as taking copayments and scheduling. The Patient Service Coordinator manages the intake of patients into the practice, screens for emergent conditions, registers, verifies and explains patient responsibility for payment. Coordinates efficient patient flow through the practice or hospital/department assigned.
Manage patient intake into the practice and screen for emergent conditions.
Register patients, verify information, and explain patient responsibility for payment.
Coordinate efficient patient flow through the practice or assigned department.
Provide high quality customer service to patients based on organizational standards.
Requirements: 6 months to 1 year of providing high quality customer service (preferred in a health care setting). High School Diploma.
Minimum Qualifications 6 months - 1 year of providing high quality customer service, preferably in a health care setting.
High School Diploma.
Salary: This position has a hiring range of $18.70 - $32.72.
