Overview
RN ER Full Time Evenings at Desert Care Network Location: Joshua Tree, CA Responsibilities
Completes comprehensive assessment and history on patients’ admission, reflecting sensitivity to different ages, cultures and religious backgrounds. Initiates effective interventions based on assessed problems; evaluates, reports and documents patient’s response to care. Care is given in collaboration with patient, family and other team members, demonstrating understanding of a team approach to patient care. Ensures all documentation is on correct forms, is complete, legible, correct and current. Identifies predictable problems, assesses patient response to care and takes appropriate, timely actions. Participates in Performance Improvement activities; meets deadlines for studies and responds to changes in practice as part of quality improvement. Cleans and prepares treatment areas between patients; ensures equipment is in working order. All assessments and interventions reflect knowledge of department policy, procedure and job description. Attends staff meetings, reads email and other key documents; responds to inquiries promptly. Contributes to department projects and delivers in-services; participates in ongoing professional development. Promotes teamwork and communicates effectively; keeps families informed and investigates and reports complaints as required. Qualifications
Minimum Education/Certification: Associate’s Degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program; current California Registered Nurse License; current BLS and ACLS certification; PALS Certification within 1 year of hire; MICN certification - required within 1 year of hire; TNCC certification - required within 1 year of hire. Preferred Experience/Certification: 2-4 years experience as a Registered Nurse in Acute Care; 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room. Physical Demands
Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs). Occasional prolonged standing/walking; assists with lifting and moving patients; occasionally lifts supplies/equipment; occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Working Conditions
May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases; risk of blood-borne diseases; exposure to emergencies and crisis situations; ability to perform emergency care. Compensation
Hourly range: $43.00 - $65.00. Individual wages determined based on qualifications and experience. Employment type
