Schedule and Shift FULL TIME

Shift:

6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

The role you'll contribute Under general supervision, you are responsible for managing the daily operations in the CT area to ensure smooth and efficient flow, including maintenance of supplies within designated budget. Perform imaging of both neuro and body scans following AdventHealth parameters, build and perform complicated 3D and CTA studies, and perform QA audits. Utilize the hospital performance improvement process in Imaging Services goals. Establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies. Meet with customers and partners to ensure service levels are maintained (rounding). Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all exams on all types of patients: IP, OP, and ED using AdventHealth CT protocols. Follow AdventHealth policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam. Educate patient concerning exam. Properly screen patient for contrast allergies. Start IVs and use power injectors. Perform complicated 3D and CTA studies.

Exam Supervision and Administration

Complete all exams in a timely manner, keep workflow moving for assigned campus, and minimize empty table time. Follow through after completing exam with communication, transportation, and discharge of OPs. Monitor daily time and attendance. Order supplies.

Personal Productivity and Accountability

Perform all types of CT imaging procedures and operate all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors and monitors. Utilize the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary. Serve as clinical instructor.

Clinical Competence

Properly screen patients of childbearing age and operate all imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co‑workers. Maintain properly stocked, organized and clean room. Request work orders, maintain level of supplies, perform QA on scanners, and ensure other technologists are performing these daily. Practice infection control standards, radiation safety and utilize approved PPE and disinfectant agents. Employee job duties may include transport of pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initial training and refresher training to include proper handling and transport of pharmaceutical waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment.

Safety and the Environment of Care

Review all images of all exams, repeating images as necessary for best possible result; assist others in these decisions. Provide supervisor/manager feedback for employee evaluations and conduct evaluations with employees at respective campus if appropriate; daily critique of CT images.

Image Quality and Documentation

Requirements and Qualifications Minimum qualifications

:

Current valid State of Florida license as a General Radiographer

Current ARRT – R

Current ARRT – CT

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred

:

General computer skills (Imaging OC system, Digivault, Patriot)

Basic IV competency

General physics and anatomy

AS, AA and/or BS in a healthcare‑related discipline

Minimum of one year of CT experience at AdventHealth

Prior CT experience on GE CT scanners

CT experience

PACS experience specific to AGFA
