Overview
School Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – San Bernardino, California. Contract role for the current school year (CSY) in a K-12 school setting. The SLPA will support Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) across multiple schools, stepping in to provide coverage during assessments, IEP meetings, and other urgent needs.
Responsibilities
Provide direct support to SLPs in delivering speech and language services to students.
Assist with screening, assessments, and implementation of individualized therapy plans.
Offer coverage during SLP absences, including attending IEP meetings and managing urgent tasks.
Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare personnel to support student communication goals.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all school and regulatory policies.
Qualifications
Experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in school or healthcare settings.
Strong understanding of speech-language pathology techniques and protocols.
Ability to work full-time with flexibility to meet varying coverage needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid certification or licensure as an SLPA in accordance with state regulations.
Location & Schedule Location: San Bernardino, California, K-12 school environment. Full-time with flexibility to meet varying coverage needs.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation ranges from $28.68 to $48.68 per hour.
