Join as a Dietitian PRN at HCA HealthONE, providing high‑quality Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients of all ages and acuity levels in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
Perform timely nutrition screenings and assessments in accordance with the Corporate Screening and Assessment Policy.
Conduct nutrition‑focused physical exams for patients at nutritional risk.
Identify patients at nutritional risk based on established criteria.
Evaluate age‑specific, developmental, and disease‑specific nutritional needs of patients.
Develop and implement individualized nutritional plans of care.
Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions.
Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Participate in the competency assessment process and achieve a passing score of 80% or higher on RD chart audits.
Adhere to nutrition care guidelines, the nutrition care manual, and department/facility protocols to provide evidence‑based nutrition care.
Integrate the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Code of Ethics in all areas of practice.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent.
Completion of an ACEND‑accredited supervised practice program.
One to two years of hospital clinical nutrition experience preferred.
Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registered Credential.
Licensed by the state department of Licensing and Regulation (must obtain within 3 months of hire if required).
Food Handlers permit preferred.
Obtain 75 CEU’s within a 5‑year period to meet CDR professional portfolio requirements.
Continued registration and licensure as a dietitian required for employment.
