Description
We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Neurology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with neurological disorders. Your expertise will be vital in providing high-quality care and improving the overall well-being of our patients. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging cases and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive treatment plans.
As an MD/DO in Neurology, you will be at the forefront of patient care, utilizing your knowledge and skills to make a significant impact on individuals\' lives. You will be involved in conducting neurological examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and recommending therapies to address a wide range of neurological conditions. Responsibilities:
Conduct neurological assessments and examinations to diagnose patients\' conditions.
Interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, and EEGs to determine the nature and extent of neurological disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with neurological conditions.
Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies.
Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Participate in research activities and clinical trials related to neurology.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Neurology.
Valid state medical license to practice as a Neurologist.
Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Call Requirement: 91 days per year
Duties: Ambulatory clinic sessions, inpatient rounds, stroke consults, and administrative tasks
Will help develop and grow the neuro stroke program
Support Staff: Chief, 4 MDs, 2 APPs
Rounding with medical students and residents/fellows required
Must be board-certified
