The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide intervention in the areas of articulation, language, and fluency. They will assess student needs, provide high-quality speech and language therapy, and collaborate with both school personnel and families to provide services to students. Responsibilities

Design and implement intervention programs to remediate deficit speech/language skills of identified students. Work with school personnel and parents to design and implement the student’s intervention plan, individual service plan, or individual student plan most appropriate to address the student’s need. Offer consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student’s speech language goals. Act as a resource to parents, school personnel and other caregivers in the area of speech/language development. Administer appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine child’s speech/language competency, if requested. Interpret diagnostic tests, identify strengths and weaknesses in areas of speech/language skills, and generate reports providing feedback to school personnel and parents. Be knowledgeable concerning all policies and procedures as established for these services. Complete required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Light lifting, walking, and/or climbing stairs may be required. Qualifications

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning required. Master’s Degree from an ASHA accredited university required. Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license/credential required. Certificate of Clinical Competency preferred. Experience working with students in a school setting preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience working with children in an educational or therapeutic setting is highly desirable. Experience in providing direct support in speech and language therapy or related services is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation. Familiarity with evidence-based therapy techniques and a willingness to learn and implement new strategies under supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Posted Salary Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr. Physical Requirements

Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching. Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, often requiring the handling of up to 50 pounds or more. Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students with writing, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices. Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily. Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotionally demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well-being. Accommodations
