The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) physician to join our team in suburban Charleston, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the launch of a brand-new, 16-bed community-based inpatient unit dedicated exclusively to pediatric care.
Ideal Candidates
BC or BE physicians in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Medicine-Pediatrics or General Pediatrics.
Excellent clinical skills, experienced with efficient, direct, family-centered patient care.
Strong commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based medicine.
Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record platform.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support certified (training available).
Opportunity Details
Care for a diverse group of lower acuity pediatric patients.
Collaborate in co-management of surgical and subspeciality patients.
Consultation support via Telehealth with the subspecialist physicians of MUSC.
Provide care in a newly opened pediatric medical unit.
Dedicated new attending call room.
No nursery or delivery call required.
Emergency Department consults limited to new admissions only.
Nocturnist and weekend practitioner positions available.
Full-time and part-time opportunities.
Flexible, shift-based work model.
Epic EMR platform.
