South Pointe Hospital's Observation Unit provides care to and observes patients requiring expedited evaluation to determine the appropriate inpatient or outpatient intervention. You will experience continuous learning opportunities caring for diverse adult populations in a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover. This position involves day/night rotation, 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am. Ideal candidates will: Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs. Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach. Establish and revise patient care priorities based on acuity, preferences, and resource availability. Respond to data indicating health risks and take appropriate action. Seek supervision and assistance when needed to perform safely and effectively. Document care accurately in medical records. Minimum qualifications include: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Current RN licensure in the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Our caregivers are dedicated to creating the best outcomes for patients. Extended standing and walking. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Ability to work under stress and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids. Medium work capacity, exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
