We're seeking passionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team! At Lower Hudson Medical Associates, we're committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based care to individuals struggling with chronic or acute pain. Our state-of-the-art facility offers a comprehensive approach to pain management. The assistant will be under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist and work alongside doctors in neurology, orthopedics, and pain management. The assistant will assist patients in active and passive exercises, as well as, complementary therapies. Individual should be motivated and interested in the field of physical rehabilitation. Responsibilities

Provide quality care to patients by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians. Help patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises Instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing physical activities such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities, as well as using assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches and canes. Administer physical therapy treatments by giving massages, initiating traction, electrical muscle stimulation, moist hot packs, ice, and ultrasound; direct treatments given by aides and assistants. Evaluate the effects of physical therapy treatments by observing, noting, and evaluating patient’s progress; recommend adjustments and modifications. Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs. Document patient care services by charting patient notes in E.H.R. system and/or written charts. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols Knowledge And Experience

Experience working in an outpatient musculo-skeletal practice preferred Ability to communicate effectively with patients Skills And Abilities

Able to multi-task Strong customer service skills Physical Requirements

Duties require extensive standing and walking. Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00 am-5:30 pm *Subject to change based on practice needs* Pay:

$30-$32/hour, depending on experience
