Position Details (cont.) The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers seeks multiple post-doctoral associates to join the Tom Lin laboratory within the Department of Medicinal Chemistry as soon as possible. Successful candidates will participate in NIH-funded projects.
Minimum Education and Experience
A Ph.D. or Doctorate degree in a relevant research field is required.
Knowledge of protein purification, molecular cloning, anti-cancer research, imaging is preferred but not required at all.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates must be able to:
Demonstrate a solid training background in one of the following areas: Proteomics, Organic/Medicinal Chemistry, and Cell Biology. Multiple training backgrounds from these areas are not required.
Devote 40-50% research time to one of the three areas.
Use 50% of research time freely to develop independent interests aligned with lab research topics including Arginylation, Cell Engineering, Chemical Proteomics, Degrader Development, Drug Discovery, Proteomics, PTMs, Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD).
Design, develop and perform experimental methods for various projects.
Develop, write and publish research findings and reviews related to the projects.
Participate fully as a team player inside the lab.
Assist graduate and undergraduate students in research activities.
Assist in preparation of manuscripts, presentations, conferences, and grants.
