Overview
Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Nephrologist for the role of Section Head of Pediatric Nephrology in New Orleans, Louisiana. The successful candidate will develop and lead a comprehensive pediatric kidney care program within Ochsner’s Health’s regional health system, the largest not-for-profit academic health system in the Gulf South. Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Program Development
– Collaborate with Departmental leaders to develop and lead an integrated regional pediatric nephrology program. Opportunity for qualified candidates to develop a pediatric kidney transplant program to complement existing pediatric liver, heart, and bone marrow transplant programs. Clinical Care
– Provide inpatient and outpatient kidney care for children with acute, chronic, and end-stage renal disease. Partner with medical and surgical colleagues to serve children with complex conditions in multidisciplinary programs. Teaching and Research
– Teach medical students, residents, and allied health students. Clinical and translational research opportunities abound for qualified candidates. Academic appointment commensurate with experience. Qualifications
Board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatric Nephrology. Proven leadership in program development and a track record of building comprehensive kidney care services preferred. About Ochsner Children’s
