Iowa Methodist Medical Center : Level 1 trauma center, adult ED, ~45,000 annual visits, new EM residency starting 2024. Iowa Lutheran Hospital : Level IV trauma center, all-ages ED, ~25,000 annual visits, mental health services. Methodist West Hospital : Orthopedic and maternity focus, ~25,000 annual visits, modern ED facilities. Grinnell Regional Medical Center : Rural hospital, unique emergency medicine experience, ~50 minutes from Des Moines. Position Details
Full-time, with approximately 130 hours/month, 13-16 shifts. Shifts vary by location: 8, 9, or 12 hours. Practice across all four EDs, with opportunities for teaching and scholarly activities. Participation in non-clinical activities encouraged. Qualifications
Board Certified or Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM). Unrestricted Iowa medical license. Ability to prescribe medications and work in the U.S. (H1-B cap exempt). Compensation & Benefits
