Overview

Venesco, LLC is recruiting a Clinical Psychologist to provide services at Naval Air Station Leemore, CA. Clinical Psychologist will care for active-duty service members and their families. Monday - Friday, 9 hours between 7:30am and 4:30pm, to include a 1-hour lunch break. No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call, No Call-Back. Description

This position involves performing clinical psychology duties within the medical treatment facility and its clinics, supporting mental health and behavioral health programs.

Responsibilities

CORE Duties:

Practice within the guidelines of state licensing boards, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges. Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources as appropriate. Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders. Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; assist in rehabilitation of patients.

Mental Health Clinic:

Provide services within the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF Director and applicable duties. Utilize Behavioral Health Data Portal (BHDP). Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients. Work closely with clinical staff and base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies, etc.). Perform clinical evaluations including administration and interpretation of psychological, neuropsychological, cognitive and personality tests, and provide clinical consultation regarding selection of psychological testing.

Hornet Health Clinic:

Work closely with clinical staff and base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental and behavioral health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies). Deliver records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided utilizing HMSI standards. Serve as advisor and consultant to other staff in the area of clinical psychology, including comprehensive psychological evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, and military duty dispositions. Conduct clinical staff education on PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and related disorders. Provide consultative behavioral health care for enrollees using evidence-based interventions and Clinical Practice Guidelines. Provide timely and concise feedback to primary care physicians regarding consultation findings and recommendations. Apply the biopsychosocial model of assessment and present recommended treatment plans to treatment teams. Assess psychological state and use psycho-diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapy. Provide concise documentation of care in the patient’s electronic medical record within 24 hours of the visit. Develop and participate in group medical appointments, including Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and Drop-In Group Medical Appointments (DlGMA). May be required to travel to local and/or national meetings or conferences. Provide recommendations for military duty dispositions (e.g., full duty, limited duty).

Qualifications

Education:

PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited program and completion of an APA-accredited internship (internship waiver possible upon approval).

Experience:

Minimum 2 years' experience within the past 3 years, or as required to meet clinical competency requirements.

License:

Active, unrestricted license in any state.

Board Certification:

N/A

Life Support Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS).

Security:

Must be able to pass a government background check and obtain a government security clearance.
