The M30 Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit is a 13-bed unit that provides inpatient care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide variety of acute and chronic medical and surgical needs. Our caregivers are part of a skilled team of medical professionals that uses state-of-the-art technology and programs to care for our patients. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment. Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families. Benefits

Minimum qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting; military RN experience will be considered. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire. Preferred qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Physical requirements

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium work - exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range
